Here Jeff shows us how to grow large Dahlia flowers, the largest in fact. If you want a truly remarkable show this summer, these Dinnerplate Dahlias are the perfect choice.
As mentioned by Jeff, these spectacular flowers were for a long time out of favour amongst the British for summer garden displays. But these days they are back in fashion and have the popularity they deserve — Jeff is very on trend in this video. Easy to grow and extremely worthwhile, these Dahlias get their name from the sheer size of their bloom. Masses of huge, spectacular flowers are produced throughout the summer months, the largest of all Dahlia varieties, making a superb border show as well as excellent long lasting cut flower display. They will bloom in July and continue to flower until the first frost, around October time.
